What each OCR A-Level Chemistry B (Salters) paper assesses
OCR A-Level Chemistry B (Salters) (specification H433) teaches the whole of chemistry through ten storylines rather than by topic, from Elements of Life to Colour by Design, with a practical strand and a mathematical strand running across all of them. It is assessed by three written papers and a separately reported practical endorsement. Salters is synoptic by design: the storylines are the teaching context for all three papers, so no storyline is examined only once. Twelve practical activity groups run through the course and make up the separately reported practical endorsement.
