AQA GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy (specification 8464) is worth two GCSEs and is examined by six papers, two for each science, each 1 hour 15 minutes and 70 marks. The biology content is sat as Biology Paper 1 and Biology Paper 2, together a third of the qualification. This is the Higher tier: it carries everything on the Foundation papers plus the higher-tier content, and grades 9-9 to 4-4 are available, with an allowed grade 4-3 for a student who just misses 4-4.
