What each AQA GCSE Combined Science Trilogy Physics, Foundation tier paper assesses
AQA GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy (specification 8464) is worth two GCSEs and is examined by six papers, two for each science, each 1 hour 15 minutes and 70 marks. The physics content is sat as Physics Paper 1 and Physics Paper 2, together a third of the qualification. Physics Paper 2 questions can also draw on energy changes, transfers and conservation from the Energy and Electricity topics. This is the Foundation tier: grades 5-5 to 1-1 are available, and the higher-tier content is not examined.
