What each Edexcel GCSE History paper assesses
Edexcel GCSE History (specification 1HI0) is assessed by three written papers. Paper 1, worth 30%, pairs a thematic study with its linked historic environment; Paper 2, worth 40%, pairs a period study with a British depth study; Paper 3, worth 30%, is a modern depth study. A student takes one option in each place, so four of the seventeen options and five of the twenty-one topics banked here.
