What each OCR GCSE Business paper assesses
OCR GCSE Business (J204) is examined in two papers of 1 hour 30 minutes, each worth half the GCSE. Component 01 covers business activity, marketing and people: how businesses start and grow, how they find and keep customers, and how they recruit, train and motivate staff. Component 02 covers operations, finance and influences on business, and its section B also asks synoptic questions that draw on marketing and people. There are no options: every student studies all seven sections of content. The six topics here teach all of them, with the seventh, the interdependent nature of business, taught inside the topics it links together.
