• This is Combined Science (1SC0), the double award worth two GCSEs. If you sit the separate Biology, Chemistry and Physics GCSEs, you need the Chemistry (1CH0) guide instead.
• This is the Higher tier, which sits the Higher versions of both papers and offers grades 9-9 to 4-4 of the double award, with an allowed 4-3. Higher carries everything on the Foundation papers plus the higher-tier content.
• This guide is the chemistry third of Combined Science. The biology and physics guides are sold separately. Two separate-science topics are not examined on Combined Science: Transition Metals, Quantitative Chemistry and Industrial Processes; and Chemical Analysis, Organic Chemistry and Materials.
