What each Edexcel A-Level Economics A paper assesses
Edexcel A-Level Economics A (specification 9EC0) is built from four themes and assessed by three written papers. Themes 1 and 3 are microeconomic, covering how markets work, market failure, and the behaviour of firms and the labour market. Themes 2 and 4 are macroeconomic, covering the performance of the UK economy and the global economy beyond it. Every question is set in a context, and Paper 3 draws on all four themes at once.
